Summary

Plastic Surgery is a type of surgery concerned with therapeutic or cosmetic reformation of tissue. Plastic surgery is a practice which has become very well-known in places such as the U.S. Plastic surgery cannot only be used for personal beatification but is also useful in the reconstruction of tissue after burns or other unfortunate accidents. But the majority of people now a day’s use it for self beatification. Though some consider plastic surgery to be wrong because of the tampering of one’s body but others have embraced the idea of being able to change their image. From its mainstream introduction in the late 1990’s plastic surgery has exponentially grown in popularity with almost 10 million procedures done to date. Millions of people every year spend 1000’s of dollars on plastic surgery.

Can you afford it?

For a short period of time plastic surgery was limited to the rich and famous but now people of all social classes are finding ways of funding the procedure. There are different types of plastic surgery ranging from hair removal surgery to even genital reconstruction. All these methods come with their associated cost, Plastic Surgery prices range from $127 to $8,000. Many people cannot afford this type of operation but are driven to do it because of there physical issues. Plastic surgery should be a completely educated decision and should not be done out of impulse or if there is no obvious need for it.

Financial Complications

Plastic surgery prices can place physical, financial and emotional strains on both the individual and his/ her family. Physical Strain- The physical strain could be caused by complications of the surgery or mistakes made during the surgery there have been some cases where some plastic surgery procedures have resulted in death. The Financial strain could be caused by the inability to compensate for the price of the surgery and may put the family in a bad financial situation depending on the cost of the operation. Some people have been known to become obsessed with plastic surgery and have made themselves bankrupt, again as I said before plastic surgery should be a educated decision which has to be considered both at financial and physical levels. Plastic surgery can also put an emotional strain on the individual this could be caused by remorse because if the way the surgery turned out.

Conclusion

A large amount of people that undergo the surgery are not contempt with the results and feels the need to continue until perfection is reached (not possible). I find that plastic surgery is very costly and in some cases unnecessary but that decision is completely up to the individual.

Summary
Breast Implant surgery is a form of “Plastic surgery” which is focused with the enlargement of the breast. This operation is done mostly in women though some men undergo this surgery when changing genders.

Overall Cost
The average national cost of Breast Implantation is $3,860 which is a considerable amount to pay for that type of surgery is. But there are some factors which determine the overall cost of breast implantation surgery such as; the skill level of the surgeon performing the operation, the country in which the operation is being done, type of implants being used, and the type of anesthesia. The skill level of the surgeon also contributes to the overall cost of the operation. Surgeons who are highly skilled or very well qualified usually ask for higher fees.

Surgeons and Materials
It is recommended if you can afford it to enroll the service of a highly skilled surgeon rather than a cheaper less qualified one, A better qualified surgeon with reduce the risk of injury during the surgery. It is also important to assure that the surgeon has the proper certificates to prove there reliability. The method in which the breast is implanted also adds up the cost, Methods such as Sub glandular Implant placement, Partial Sub muscular Implant Placement, and Complete Sub muscular Implant Placement. Some of these methods take much less time than others so they will usually cost less while the ones that require long hours to complete usually require you to pay more.

Conclusion
Although cheap breast implantation surgery offers may be very persuading it is not recommended because materials used during the operation may not be up to par with legit medical institutions also the surgeon is usually under qualified or not very reliable no matter that they may tell you. Don’t choose a surgeon based on their cost a surgeon should always be chosen because of their qualifications. The surgeons must also be board certified. Despite the cost people still pile up at the doctor’s office looking for breast implants, in the table below it can be seen that almost 312,000 breast augmentation surgeries have been done in 2009 alone.

Summary

Rhinoplasty, best known as Nose Surgery is a form of plastic surgery that is used to shorten or lengthen the length of the nose. It can also change the shape of the nose, define the tip and narrow the nostril area. When a surgeon is performing rhinoplasty he pays careful attention to the patient’s features and what the person is looking to change. He then decides the best way to go about the procedure. The procedure takes 1-2 hours to complete. After the visible swellings and blood bruises on the face can be seen. In the U.S alone there have been 138,258 recorded rhinoplasty surgeries. The national average Rhinoplasty Cost is approximately $4,493.

Surgeons and materials

The cost of Rhinoplasty surgery is very steep. But they are many variables which contribute to the overall cost one of these variables are The surgeon chosen to do the procedure. Depending on the skill level of the surgeon there fees may be very high. But when undergoing surgical procedures such as Rhinoplasty always put quality before cost. When choosing a surgeon you should look for the following attributes:

Has at least 4 years experience in the field. And has a good record of successful rhinoplasty

Surgeon must currently be employed and operating in a legit medical facility.

Is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Complexity of the Operation

The complexity of the operation greatly impacts the over cost. The type of modification and the time needed for the operation are both factors to look at when considering the complexity of the operation. If it is just a minor modification that has to be made and can be finished with an hour then the price of the surgery will not usually be outstanding but if the surgery requires major alterations, great skill and allot of time to complete then the price will usually be high.

Conclusion

Though insurance can usually cover some of the cost of the surgery, some people put themselves in financial predicaments trying to achieve facial perfection ( a completely unrealistic goal ). Rhinoplasty is a relatively safe procedure but like all surgical procedures there is some degree on risk. Some of the biggest concerns about rhinoplasty surgery is the risk of infection and mistakes made by the surgeon like taking away to little of to much. Infections during rhinoplasty surgery are not usually that serious and can be treated with antibiotics before the infection spreads. Everyone makes mistakes and that includes surgeons, Not all surgeries can go perfectly. A surgeon can make the mistake a removing to much skin from the nose and leaving the patient unsatisfied and filled with remorse. In conclusion rhinoplasty like all plastic surgery should be an educated decision considered from both the financial aspect to the physical aspect. If you can afford it and find it necessary then go ahead but otherwise it should not be attempted you can end up disfiguring your face.
